Good to know

Summer pool

During the summer months, our guests can enjoy the pool on warm summer days. Maybe take a dip after a long day of cycling?

It’s a saltwater pool, which is better for the environment than regular chlorine and also kinder to our bodies. The pool is open between 10.00 – 19.00.

Adjacent to the pool is an outdoor shower.

Winter spa

During the winter months, our outdoor spa is open and can be used by our guests. The water is 39 degrees and warms nicely on cold winter evenings.

Perhaps a moment of meditation under the starry sky after the yoga session?

You will find our outdoor spa in the garden directly adjacent to the large bathroom.

Four-legged family members

The dog Bosse lives here, still young and mischievous, but very kind. He belongs to the rather unusual Kromfohrländer breed.

Here, four-legged family members can stay in one of our double rooms.

The garden

We have a large garden that can be partially used by our guests. Adjacent to the salon is a south-facing patio with a couple of seating areas. You can have breakfast here when the weather permits.

Between the sheds there is a large patio deck with outdoor furniture and barbecue grills that our guests are welcome to use. Maybe buy a “Lyrsta sausage” at Freijs and put it on the grill for supper?

Parking for cars, motorcycles and bicycles

We have a large car park that is directly adjacent to the house and there is room for both cars, motorbikes and bicycles.

We also have a collaboration with Sjötorp’s bicycle rental and we have bikes for hire here with us which can be booked whenever it suits.

Sustainability

For us at Lyrsta R B&B, sustainability is important and we strive to constantly develop our business to contribute to reducing the environmental footprint.

To the greatest extent possible, everything we serve on the breakfast table is locally produced and organic. To reduce food waste, our guests can pre-order e.g., a specific number of boiled eggs. Our cleaning products are environmentally friendly, as are the soap and laundry products.

We sort rubbish, collect rainwater that is used to irrigate the garden and we have solar cells on the roof to harness the sun’s energy.

Our pool is cleaned using a so-called salt chlorinator which is gentle on the environment.

If you have further suggestions and ideas on what we can do to improve and develop our sustainability work, you are welcome to tell us.
